On the protection of Lutjewad

Every summer, after spoonbills finish breeding and raising chicks, many gather on the mudflats of Lutjewad, on the northern coast of Groningen. Here, they spend the next few months replacing their flight feathers and building up fat reserves for their upcoming migration. Simply put, Lutjwad is indispensable for spoonbills and many other birds. Unfortunately, these vital mudflats are being threatened by a proposed power line. We cannot allow this to happen!
