On the Moult of Spoonbills
A few days ago, my scientific article on the flight feather moult of Spoonbills finally got published! In the summer of 2021, I studied the moult of Eurasian Spoonbills by photographing them in flight from a hide on the mudflats of Lutjewad. After two years of sorting through photos, wrangling data and documenting findings, and another year of peer-review and waiting, the paper is finally online for everyone to see! I couldn’t have done this without the expertise of Wouter Vansteelant and Theunis Piersma, and I am deeply grateful to them.
